The life span of 12V incandescent headlights is typically five times greater that 24V headlights. That allows the use of very low cost incandescent 12V headlights in the automotive industry. The Daylight Regulator RPJ2412 allows the use of 12V headlights on 24V vehicle electrical system. The RPJ2412-2 manages daytime running lights and headlights by optimizing their power supply conditions to increase their lifespan. Softstart power ON and limited regulated operating voltage allows to increase significantly the headlight lifetime. The unit controls the day running light operation and detects burn out lamps.
