The REG24C/H series is a smart voltage regulator implementing battery charging profiles. The REG24C/H feeds the 24V alternator field of the vehicle to obtain a constant DC voltage without dependency to the load and speed, while the reference voltage depends on the battery current and temperature. Embedded display shows battery voltage, voltage setpoint and diagnostic codes. Upon engine start, a soft start on the field output eliminates high stress on the alternator and belt to extend their life. Entirely mechanically compatible with the Delco voltage regulator in retrofit situation. The REG24C-4 and REG24H are made for Hybrid and Electric Buses.
